Tinubu Fixes Date to Swear-in Wike, Bagudu, Others

August 16, 2023 2 min read

Barring any last minute change, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Monday, August 21, 2023, inaugurate his cabinet after close to eighty days after his swearing-in.

President Tinubu is now set to put his ministers in place to deal with many of the social and economic challenges facing the country.

Sources close to the Presidential Villa told Western Post that the schedules of the President this week did not include swearing-in of ministers.

The source confirmed that the offices of the Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Government of the Federation were finalising arrangements for the cabinet inauguration next week Monday and a ministerial retreat where the ministers would be inducted and sign a service charter to commit to faithful implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the administration.

Recall that the Senate had refused to clear Nasir El-Rufai, Stella Okotete, and Abubakar Sani Danladi due to issues with their security clearance.

Those screened, confirmed and expected to be sworn in on Monday include
