After preaching the gospel for over 40 years, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, founder of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), has chosen a new career in real estate business.
According to a report by The Will, the famous televangelist had retired from full-time Christian ministry and is now one of the biggest landowners in Lagos.
Although he has been acquiring real estate since the age of 27, when he acquired a small parcel of land, he expanded it to include about 900 acres of land in the Mowe area of Ogun State where he built six estates before moving on to acquire more parcels of land in Ibeju Lekki coastal area of Lagos.
In addition to owning several properties in Pinnoch Estate, Lekki, Lagos, where he lives in a luxurious, smart-enabled mansion, he also owns several acres of land scattered around Lagos.
Pastor Ashimolowo is also said to be building one of Lagos’ most prominent luxury estates via his Makarios Luxury Properties.
The luxury estate is a dream city that hopes to rival the Dubai Marina.
It sits on 95 acres of land where many rich people are now buying service plots.
The estate, which a German company is constructing, will feature about 10-floor high-rise buildings, 192 terrace houses, and 18 detached houses on completion.
He has earmarked almost 300 parcels of land on the luxury estate for sale.
While he has a full-time pastor managing the Lagos branch of his church, his first son, Tobi, is in charge of the London branch and headquarters.
