Meta owner, Mark Zuckerberg, has expressed excitement following the success recorded so far by the tech giant’s newest addition, Threads.
The Twitter-like app, which was launched barely 48 hours ago, has recorded no fewer than 70 million users across the globe, Zuckerberg disclosed.
Expressing his excitement over the development, Zuckerberg took to the new app to share the good news with the app users.
According to him, the number of people who have signed up on the app so far is not only impressive but has equally surpassed the expectations of Meta.
He wrote, “70 million sign-ups on Threads as of this morning. Way beyond our expectations.”
The Meta boss, in one of his previous posts on the new app, also assured the app users of constant improvement that will make the new app more user-friendly.
Since the app was launched, it has continued to witness massive adoption from all and sundry around the world. Recently, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced his arrival on the app, joining other notable political figures and celebrities such as; Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state, MrMacaroni, Woli Arole, Linda Ikeji, and a host of others who have since joined the new trend of the app.
The app, which allows Instagram users to create their Threads accounts using their current Instagram usernames, is currently accessible in more than 100 nations and allows users to share messages of up to 500 characters.
