Think Yoruba First, through its IDERA Environmental Sanitation Corps, joined forces with partners for the Lagos State monthly environmental sanitation exercise, aimed at promoting a cleaner and healthier community.
The exercise, which took place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, saw TYF members, volunteers, and residents participate in community sanitation, awareness campaigns on proper waste disposal, and environmental conservation activities.
The initiative was part of TYF’s commitment to community development and environmental sustainability. Members in Lagos, particularly those around Amuwo-Odofin, turned out in large numbers to contribute to the exercise.
Speaking on the initiative, TYF leadership emphasised that a clean environment starts with the little actions individuals take, and called on all residents to play their part in keeping Lagos clean.
The exercise is part of the Lagos State Government’s revived monthly sanitation programme, which was reintroduced in April 2026 after a suspension of nearly ten years.
