The Federal Government has filed a 10-count charge against three men over the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers from schools in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State.
The suspects, Abdulrazak Umar (aka Abu Khalifa), Yunusa Musa, and Shamsu Adamu Sani (aka Abu Itisar), all from Suleja, Niger State, are accused of terrorism, kidnapping, concealment, incitement, and illegal mining. The charges were filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The prosecution alleged that the men conspired with Muhammad Sani, Jibril Mohammed, and Ibrahim Khabab between January and May to kidnap the victims. They are also accused of aiding the abduction and concealing information about the identities and activities of the alleged masterminds.
The 46 victims, including 39 pupils and seven teachers, were rescued on July 10, 2026, after 56 days in captivity.
