SECURITY ALERT: Local reports indicate that a black helicopter was sighted over Egbe in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State before flying towards the forest corridor connecting Yagba West with Danikun in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The reports allege that the aircraft is being used to supply armed groups operating across parts of Kogi, Kwara, and Ekiti states. The same criminal network has also been linked to the attack on worshippers in Eda Oniyo.

According to the reports, similar helicopter movements have been observed several times each week, both during daylight hours and at night, raising fresh concerns over security within the forest corridor, which spans an estimated 80 to 95 kilometres.

The development has prompted calls for heightened surveillance and swift security intervention in the affected area.
