The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched an investigation into Professor Saleh Abdullahi Usman, Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), over allegations of corruption.

According to credible sources, Professor Usman appeared at the EFCC headquarters earlier today for questioning in connection with the ongoing probe. He was subsequently granted administrative bail but has been directed to report to the Commission daily pending further investigation.

It was also gathered that his security clearance for access to the Presidential Villa has been temporarily revoked while the investigation continues.

As of press time, details of the allegations against the NAHCON Chairman have not been officially disclosed, but EFCC officials confirmed that the inquiry is part of the Commission’s wider efforts to ensure transparency and accountability within key federal institutions.

Neither the EFCC nor NAHCON has issued an official statement regarding the development.
