A high-level Nigerian government delegation has completed the first-ever direct commercial flight from Brazil to Nigeria.
This landmark event followed the recent signing of a Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) between the two nations, which is poised to drastically cut travel time and costs.
According to a post on NTA, the direct route is expected to reduce the cost and flight duration by approximately 50%, eliminating the need for connecting flights through Europe or other African countries.
The post reads: “Nigerian government’s delegation takes a first direct commercial flight from Brazil to Nigeria.
“It’s said that a direct flight reduces the cost and flight hours to about 50%.”
