The Think Yoruba First (TYF) Movement is currently holding a press conference addressing its lawsuit filed against the publishers of an Igbo history textbook.

The group had earlier raised concerns over alleged misrepresentations and distortions of Yoruba history in the book, which it described as an attempt to undermine Yoruba heritage and identity.

At the ongoing briefing, TYF leaders are expected to outline details of the suit, the specific passages under contention, and their demands for redress. The group has maintained that preserving historical accuracy is central to protecting cultural identity, insisting that the case is not against the Igbo people but against what they term β€œhistorical inaccuracies and miseducation.”

More details are expected to emerge as the press conference continues.
