Ogun residents cry out: “Rescue Us, Governor Dapo Abiodun

Residents of several communities in Ogun State, including Oyero, Oluke, Igbo Elerin, Shonde, and Lisa, are calling on Governor Dapo Abiodun to intervene in the deplorable state of their roads.

The bad roads have led to abandoned homes and shut-down businesses, making life unbearable for the inhabitants.

Speaking with our sources”I have lost count of how many times I’ve gotten stuck in the mud on my way to market,” said Omolara Ojo in a phone call conversation with The Yoruba Times, a trader from Oyero community.

“It’s like the government has forgotten about us. We’re suffering here, and we need Governor Dapo Abiodun to come to our rescue.”

Economic Losses
The bad roads have also taken a toll on businesses in the area.

“My shop has been shut down for weeks because customers can’t access our market,” said Adewale Adeyemi, a shop owner from Oluke community.

“We’re losing money every day, and it’s all because of the state of the roads. We urge the governor to please fix our roads and save our businesses.”

The residents are urging Governor Abiodun to prioritize the repair of the roads, which they believe will boost economic activity and improve their quality of life. “We’re not asking for much,” said Omolara

“Just fix our roads, and we’ll be able to live our lives without the constant struggle.”

The residents are hopeful that the governor will hear their cry and take immediate action to address the issue. “We’re counting on you, Governor Dapo Abiodun,” said Adewale Adeyemi.

“Please, come to our rescue and fix our roads. We’re suffering here.” He mentioned.
