The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has assured that electricity supply will be restored to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Adelabu made this promise in a statement released to address the current power outage affecting the hospital.

The minister acknowledged the critical role UCH plays in providing healthcare services and expressed his commitment to resolving the issue promptly.

According to Adelabu, the power outage was caused by a technical fault, which is being urgently addressed by the relevant authorities.

He assured that his ministry is working closely with the hospital management and other stakeholders to ensure a swift restoration of power supply.

The minister’s assurance comes as a relief to patients, staff, and the general public who have been affected by the power outage.

UCH is one of the leading tertiary healthcare institutions in Nigeria, and any disruption to its services can have significant consequences.

Adelabu’s commitment to restoring power supply to UCH within 24 to 48 hours demonstrates the government’s focus on prioritizing the healthcare sector and ensuring that critical institutions like UCH receive the necessary support to function effectively.

The minister’s statement has been welcomed by stakeholders, who are eagerly awaiting the restoration of power supply to the hospital.
