Borussia Dortmund delivered a devastating performance, crushing Celtic 7-1 in their Champions League match at the Westfalenstadion on Tuesday.

The young German attacker, Kareem Adeyemi, who was born in Munich to a Nigerian-Yoruba father and Romanian mother scored 3 out of 7 goals conceded by their opponents.

Adeyemi’s impressive display continued as he struck again in the 29th minute, blasting a shot past Schmeichel. He then won a penalty in the 39th minute, which Serhou Guirassy converted.

Adeyemi completed his hat-trick just three minutes later, cementing Dortmund’s commanding lead.

Guirassy added his second goal of the night in the 67th minute, while substitute Felix Nmecha sealed the 7-1 victory with an 79th-minute strike.

Celtic’s Kasper Schmeichel made several crucial saves to prevent an even more emphatic defeat.

The convincing win marks a strong start for Dortmund in the Champions League, following their runner-up finish last season.

However, Adeyemi has described his heart as “still here” in Nigeria when asked about his desire to give back to his father’s homeland.
