Kano police arrest six Spaniards connected to hunger protest

Kano State Commissioner of Police, Salman Garba, has said his police command arrested 6 Spaniards connected to Nigeria hunger protest.

The demonstration which turned violence on the first day in some part of Northern states saw protesters waving Russian flags to call on President Vladimir Putin to intervene in Nigeria.

The trend spreads across Northern states including Jos, Kaduna, and Abuja, where protesters took to the streets with Russian flags.

However, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christoper Musa, and Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Taoreed Lagbaja, warned that the military will not stand idly by and watch the country slide into anarchy.

CP Garba in his statement confirmed that 76 others were arrested alongside the Spanish nationals .

He said, β€œWe have arrested six Spanish nationals and 76 others, including the tailor. We recovered 23 Russian flags, we are trailing the sponsor.

β€œThey have been transferred to Force Headquarters because it has to do with sedition and national security,” the CP stated.
