The Nigerian government is set to host a workshop bringing together 120 researchers, start-ups, and AI stakeholders to collaborate on a comprehensive framework for nationwide AI implementation.

Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, announced the workshop scheduled for April 15 to 18, 2024, in Abuja.

The goal is to create a National Artificial Intelligence Strategy that aligns with Nigeria’s priorities and focuses on using AI to improve lives and boost economic growth.

With support from Luminate, the workshop will emphasize co-creation of a strategic plan tailored to Nigeria’s needs.
