NPFL: Lobi, Remo Stars Lose away, Plateau United destroy Heartland Leaders

Lobi Stars went down to a 2-0 defeat against Sunshine Stars in a Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 22 encounter at Ondo Sports Complex, Akure on Wednesday.

The Makurdi club retained top position on the NPFL table, despite the defeat.

Vincent Temitope and Chidozie Iwundu got the goals for Sunshine Stars in the game.

Remo Stars dropped to fourth position on the table following a 1-0 loss to Rangers in Enugu.

Kenechukwu Agu’s 56th minute strike separated both teams on the night.

At the Awka City Stadium, Plateau United pulverized their hosts Heartland 5-1.

It was the biggest away win recorded in the NPFL this season.

Olawale Doyeni, Lawrence Agbor, Nenrot Silas, Victor Makalala and Harrison Ebah were the goals scorers for Plateau United.

Onyekachi Okafor scored the consolation goal for Heartland.
