EDUCATION Otedola Donates N750m To 750 Students of Augustine University

Billionaire chairman of Geregu Power Plant, Femi Otedola, has given N1M each to 750 students of Augustine University, Lagos.

The Zenon Oil boss, who was inducted as the Chancellor of Augustine University, a Catholic university located in Otedola’s hometown, Epe, in Lagos State, was emotionally touched when he asked the VC of the school, β€œhow many students does the school have?, and was told 750 students.

He nodded his head without uttering any other word, and later in his address to the guests gathered inside the hall, announced a donation of 750 million naira to the students, amounting to N1million per student.

This, it’s believed, was his own way of subsiding the hardship that the students were going through, but most importantly, it was a way of giving back to a society that had given him so much.

The best part of the whole experience was that his nonagenarian mom, who clocked 90 years last year, was present to see his son’s finest glory.

This is the best news as shared by one of the students at the university who shared the news.
