Troops of the Joint Task Force North-West, Operation Hadarin Daji, (OPHD) have rescued 52 kidnapped victims in a successful and well coordinated operation in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

In a statement it shared on its official X account, the Army said that this was in continuation of the onslaught against terrorists through a series of clearance operations in their areas of responsibility.

The statement said that the feat was recorded on December 22, 2023, when the troops cleared and destroyed terrorist enclaves at Saruwa, Kubuta, Gundumi villages, and Bunwanga Gundumi forest in Isa LGA.

β€œDuring the operation, the troops of the OPHD rescued 52 kidnapped victims while several terrorists were neutralised.

β€œThe rescued victims include 14 males, 32 females, and 6 children who will undergo a medical check-up, debrief, and hand over to appropriate authorities to reunite them with their families,” it said.
