The extended family members, cousins, and relations of the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, under the banner of the Real Born Community Association of SWI, Isale-Osi Area of Ibadan, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to their patron and elder at his palace on Ondo Road, Bodija Housing Estate of the Oyo State Housing Corporation.
Senior Chief ‘Lekan Alabi, the Abese Olubadan-designate, who was part of the delegation, stood second to the right behind Oba Ladoja, who was seated in a white attire.
Speaking during the visit, Chief Alabi fondly recalled memories of growing up in the Isale-Osi area during the 1950s and 1960s. His recollections included references to notable personalities and cultural figures of the era, such as the revered Ibadan masquerade Iponriku, one of the seven leading traditional masquerades in Ibadan as well as political activists of the now-defunct NCNC party, including Raimi Sango and Paramole.
Oba Ladoja, in response, listened with nostalgia and nodded in approval as the memories were shared.
The visit, according to members of the association, was to reaffirm their support for the Olubadan-designate and celebrate his enduring bond with the community.
