A yet to be identified middle-aged man has committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree at Iseyin on Thursday morning.
The incident which happened beside St. Thomas Catholic School, Oja-Agbe, Iseyin-Abeokuta road caused pandemonium as residents rushed to the place to identify the man.
It was reliably gathered that the man had complained to some friends on Wednesday about an accumulated debt caused by sports betting.
The dangling body of the man was still on the tree on Friday, which indicated that his family was yet to be informed.
As at the time of filling this report, efforts to get more information from the Iseyin Divisional Police Authority proved abortive.
