Ogun to Support Organisations Towards Making Youths Skillfully Engaged

August 3, 2023 2 min read

The Ogun State government says it will continue to support organisations at improving the personal prosperity of the citizens of the state until a sizeable percentage of youths are skillfully engaged.

Deputy Governor of the state, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, gave the assurance when she received the newly deployed Area Manager of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Ogun State Office, Mrs Bolanle Ajibade and the management team of the agency at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Engr. Salako-Oyedele stated that many youths today had become employers of labour through the present administration’s technical and vocational programmes, noting that the strides had made young minds to be self-dependent and employers of labour in various skills, adding that this had contributed immensely to the socio-economic development of the state.

She wished the new Area Manager a successful stay in the state, and assured her of a more mutually beneficial relationship with the state government, urging the fund to be more proactive as well as ensure that its mentorship training and programmes cut across the nooks and crannies of the state.

Earlier in her remarks, Mrs. Ajibade said the visit was to familiarise the team with the S
state government, while also appreciating the current government for its support towards the successful stay of her predecessor, Mrs. ‘Funmi Coker.

She noted that ITF was a human capital development organisation with various intervention programmes, aimed at assisting the unemployed to be skilfully employed for the overall growth and development of the country and betterment of the society.
