Tinubu Off to Borno for Army Conference

President Bola Tinubu on Monday departed Abuja for Maiduguri,  the Borno State capital, ahead of the Nigerian Army Annual Conference, where he is the Special Guest of Honour.

The President took off from the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

This was made known in a video shared on the NTA X handle on Monday.

This would be the first time the President will be visiting the north-eastern part of the country since assumption of office.

In a statement by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the opening of the conference  would feature an address to troops of Joint Task Force North-East Operation HADIN KAI, inspection of on-going Nigerian Army Reference Hospital Maiduguri and laying of the foundation stone of Headquarters 7 Division by the Special Guest of Honour.
