No Increase in Petrol Pump Prices, NNPC Assures Nigerians

January 5, 2024 1 min read

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. has assured the public that there is no imminent increase in the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.

This is contained in a statement on Wednesday by Chief Corporate Communication officer, Olufemi Soneye.

As a result, the corporation urged Nigerians to disregard unfounded rumours and assured them that there were no plans for an upward review of the PMS price.

Said he, “Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country.”

It will be recalled that the last one week has experienced queues in filing stations all over the country as a result of fears in imminent price increase.
