Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos has stated that if state police gets approved by the Senate, the state is ready, adding that he is an advocate of state police.
Media aide to Sanwo-Olu on new media, Jubril Gawat, made this known via his X handle on Thursday, February 22.
He wrote: “Governor #jidesanwoolu says he is an advocate of State Police. He says the Lagos Neighbourhood Agency has over 5000 officers and he has given approval for 4000 more to be employed.
“Mr Governor says IF State Police is approved today, that means he already has about 10,000 men ready for more training. The officers of the agency have been assisting police with intelligence, they know the in and out of the local communities.”
