Lagos LGSC extends computer based test date for ongoing recruitment exercise

The Lagos State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) has announced an extension of the scheduled date for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) as part of the ongoing recruitment into Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas across the state.

The announcement was made available via the government X handle on Monday, July 7, 2025.

The test, which was initially set to take place on Monday, July 7, 2025, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., has now been rescheduled to span a five-day window, from Monday, July 7 to Friday, July 11 is not part of the rescheduled dates, the dates are from Monday, July 7 to Friday, July 11 is wrong the correct is from Monday, July 7 to Friday, July 11 is not correct – the CBT will now hold from Monday, 7th July to Friday, 11th July 2025.

According to the commission, the decision to extend the test date was made in response to congestion and traffic experienced by applicants during the initial schedule.

“This extension is in response to the congestion and traffic experienced by applicants and is aimed at ensuring accessibility and convenience for all participants,” the LGSC stated.

Applicants are required to follow a step-by-step guide to access and take the test.

They are advised to visit the LGSC website at (link unavailable), navigate to the Services tab using compatible browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge, and then access the CBT portal using their unique login credentials.

The username should be in the format “Name/LGSC/State of Origin,” for example, “Emeka/LGSC/Osun,” with the name matching exactly with the one on the acknowledgement slip.

The password is defined as the last ten digits of the applicant’s registration number, excluding the prefix.

The commission emphasized the importance of a stable internet connection and a quiet, uninterrupted environment for the test. Applicants are also advised not to refresh or close their browsers while the test is ongoing, as this will result in automatic disqualification.

“The Commission appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all applicants,” the LGSC noted, reaffirming its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
