Bandits Continue Assault On Kwara Communities, Kill Worshippers After Attacking Mosque

Gunmen, suspected to be bandits killed a 45-year-old man, identifed as Alhaji Dahiru, during an attempted abduction at a mosque in the Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.

According to eyewitnesses, about seven armed men stormed the mosque and attempted to abduct Dahiru.

However, the victim reportedly resisted the attackers, prompting them to shoot him dead on the spot before fleeing the scene on motorcycles.

A security expert, Zagazola Makama disclosed this on his X handle, stating that residents reported the recovery of two empty AK-47 ammunition shells at the scene of the incident.

Family members of the deceased have appealed for the release of the corpse to enable burial in line with Islamic rites.
