As part of continued efforts of the present administration to ensure infrastructural development in communities across the รˆkiti State, the state governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the sum of 3 Billion naira for projects under the Ekiti State Community and Social Development Agency (EKSCDA).

The EKSCDA General Manager, Yemi Alatise, who made this known during a 2-day capacity-building workshop for members of the Community Project Management Committees in Ado-Ekiti, disclosed that the agency would soon empower 23 communities in the state.

Alatise noted that the workshop focused on equipping participants with comprehensive project implementation procedures to ensure smooth execution of planned projects.

The general manager explained that the state would cover 98.5% of the total project costs, while the remaining 1.5% is to be contributed by the participating communities, noting that the funds from EKSCDA would be disbursed in three instalments, with 40% released at the project launch, 50% upon meeting the requirements for the first instalment and the remaining 10% upon fulfilling conditions for the second tranche.

The workshop equipped the Community Project Management Committee and rural communities with the knowledge and tools necessary to implement developmental projects that would leave a lasting impact on their communities.
